🎒 Essentials to Carry

[ ] Water (filled bottle or bladder)
[ ] Snack (dates, bar, or fuel of choice)
[ ] Phone and ID
[ ] Sunblock
[ ] Light waterproof or wind shell
[ ] Small zip pouch or pocket for keys/essentials

🔦 Optional but Smart

[ ] Headlamp
[ ] Offline trail map or printed route
[ ] Basic first-aid (bandage, blister pad, electrolytes)
[ ] Whistle

🚫 You Don’t Need These (Yet)

[ ] GPS watch (unless you already own one, it will come in handy)
[ ] Poles
[ ] Compression sleeves
